I love throwing parties. There is absolutely no doubt about it. I love designing them, I love attending them and I love hosting them but I’m not going to lie, throwing a party is A LOT of work. This year I decided to combine my birthday and Easter and out source some help with The Picnic Collective. The Picnic Collective brought the tables, food, pillows and flowers to the event and I got to add the details. This event was the first gathering I have had with friends in over a year and it was SO wonderful to enjoy each other in a beautiful space.
Usually when I design a party I pull in different vendors to create my design but this company is a one stop shop for all things picnic. They have a selection of designs you can choose from with add ons from extra time, a photographer, or a personal chef. For this event I just wanted something simple and easy so I could add my own Easter touches (because if I’m totally honest I am too much of a control freak to fully hand over the reigns). I sent over my own mood board and they offered floral suggestions and that was it. It was SO EASY.
Here’s what we came up with!
The Picnic Collective did the table top and I added the flocked bunnies from Bonjour Fete and the custom bunny and Easter egg cookies from my girls at Butter Cake Shoppe. They are both the best for party details and decor that make any event feel special. I also enlisted the ladies from Creative Amme to design the Easter egg place cards and cute Easter signs complete with my favorite Easter puns.
(How many more times do you think I can say Easter?)
The Picnic Collective also creates custom chalkboard signs for your gathering so of course I had to come up with something sweet for my favorite peeps! It was the first time all the kids have been together in a year and it was SO SPECIAL to be able to put together a little easter egg hunt for them. All the eggs were filled with little race cars, mini flocked bunnies, personal play doh, with some gold fish crackers and jelly beans mixed in. The large golden eggs were filled with sparkling rose from ONE HOPE for the grown ups 😉
I wanted an affordable Easter basket option for the kids so I made little tote bags for them using a natural canvas tote and fabric dye to keep the colors consistent with the rest of the design. They turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself!
It was such a lovely day relaxing and celebrating being together.
Sending lots of love and bunny kisses to my favorite peeps!
