This Farewell to Summer luncheon was such a treat to design and so different (color wise) from what I usually lean towards. I chose a super neutral palette and very organic elements to highlight the meal from my collaboration with Cooking is Personal. I wanted the focus of the design to be on the meal so chose to decorate with food that guests would find in the dishes. I have always loved going to the farmer’s market and got the idea to do an organic table scape from one of our weekend trips. I love the way berries are displayed in little crates, produce is propped up with wooden boxes and baskets are brimming with wild flowers and bushy carrots. I wanted to bring all of these elements to the table scape right down to displaying the baskets we used to shop.
